Yóbbu - Delivery & Courier Platform

Overview
Yóbbu is a delivery and courier-matching platform for The Gambia. Customers browse verified riders, request a delivery in either direction (send a package or have something picked up for them), agree a price, track the rider live, pay and leave a rating. Riders go online, receive job alerts and manage their verification, earnings and deliveries from the same app.
The Challenge
Sending a package across town in The Gambia usually means calling around for a rider you know, agreeing a price over the phone and hoping it arrives. There is no way to find a trusted rider, see where your package is, or settle disputes about payment or delivery.
The Solution
Built three independently deployed packages: an Express 5 and PostgreSQL/Prisma API as the single source of truth, an Expo app that serves both customers and riders from one codebase, and a Next.js admin panel for rider verification, payment disputes and moderation. Deliveries follow an explicit status flow from request through negotiation, pickup, PIN-confirmed delivery and rating, and unanswered requests cascade automatically to the next nearby online rider.

Outcome
A working end-to-end platform with CI: pushes run lint and type-check and trigger EAS preview or production Android builds, the API auto-deploys on Render and the admin panel on Vercel. The backend has a real integration test suite that runs against a Postgres test database rather than mocks.
